| The Washtenaw Pioneers invite you and your
friends to our Annual Founder's Day Weekend Shoot at Washtenaw
Sportsman's Club. (view map)
We have a covered firing line - shoot rain or shine. |
| Fees: |
Entire Weekend - $15.00 individual - $25.00 per family
Woods Walk Only - $8.00 individual - $15.00 per family
Founder's Shoot Only - $10.00 individual - $15.00 per family
(Family is husband, wife and children under age 18) |
| Registration: |
Registration starts both days at 9:00 AM with shooters on
the course and/or firing at 10:00 AM. Last shooters on the course and/or
firing line at 2:00 Pm and completed by 3:00PM. |
| Camping: |
Camping is available on Friday afternoon after 4:00 PM. In
the spirit of "Rondyvoo" (1825-1840), come and take a step
back to the "Shinin Times". Period camp and/or attire is not
required, if you have it please use it. Don't let this keep you away -
come and enjoy. Trash Handling: if you brought it with you, take it
home. |
| Relays: |
Relays will be 20 minutes with a 10 minute target change
period between. |
| Equipment: |
Any muzzle loading rifle, musket, pistol or revolver may
be used. Must use soft lead patched round ball or bore sized bullet. No
Sabots. Sights: any metallic sight, no glass allowed. Shades are
permitted. Apertures attached to glasses are permitted with range
officer approval. |
| Prizes: |
Woods Walk: Prizes will be meat and for those who
would like to take part in the Prize Blanket. A prize related to the
sport (value approx. $8.00) to be put on the blanket. Founders
Day: All prizes will be merchandise plus trophies as indicated on
program.
Prizes will be awarded at the end of each days shooting. You must be
present and/or have made arrangements with the range officer for someone
to claim it for you if necessary to leave. If not, it will go to the
next in line.

| Juniors: |
A junior is defined as; has not reached the 18th birthday. |
| Safety: |
Follow all posted safety rules and the direction of the
range Officer. Some of the often overlooked items are as follows:
Keeping the powder container closed after loading, capping or priming at
the firing line only, set triggers with the muzzle pointed down range,
not in the air. |
| Scores: |
Scores will be available about two relays after shot for
review. Challenges will be accepted at the time of review. |
| Shooters: |
Please refrain from interfering with Scorer and/or Range
Officer(s) during matches. |
