  • Wish to purchase any Michigan Hunting License and don't have a hunter safety certificate or previous hunting license.
  • Don't have a hunter safety certificate and are anticipating an out-of-state hunting trip. Most states require hunters to carry their certificate when hunting and need it to purchase a license. You need to obtain a certificate prior to your trip.

However Hunter Safety is NOT the following:

  • IS NOT the equivalent of a specific gun safety course.
  • DOES NOT meet the requirements for Concealed Weapons permits. See our Personal Protection Training Program.
