 1) District 2 received an Outstanding Affiliate of the Year 2010 Award for raising over 
    $8000  at the dinner we put on at Tri-County.
 
2) The Larry Schrecengost Memorial Rod raised $393 for the Cedar Lake Kids Camp. It was
     won by Scott Kallenberg from Morenci Sportsman's Club.

 
3) Lt. Gov. John Cherry, DNRE Rebecca Humphries, and various DNRE personal were in attendance
    at the Convention.
 
4) New MUCC Officers:  Paul Rose – President; Paul Earl, Paul Ferrell, Allen Kasdorf and Dawn Levey – State Wide VP’s;
    George Lindquist – Region  I VP , Jim Chaskey - Region II VP, Jack VanRhee – Region III VP, Bob Borchak Region IV VP;
    Fran Yeager – Treasurer; and Directors – at – Large : Jack Leto & Clif Waters Region I, Marlon Bussey & Jay Youngflesh
    Region II, Norma Hays & Bruce Levey Region III, Craig Chang & Larry Bart Region IV.
    
5) The Huron Valey Friends of NRA will have a rifle raffle on a Remington SPS .33 Win Mag.   250 tickets at $10 each,
     raffle to run from early July to late November, or when the ticket supply is exhausted
 
6) The DNRE will hold a pair of meetings to provide information regarding recently proposed antler restrictions for deer
     hunters in Deer Management Unit (DMU) 487. Meetings are scheduled for:
      June 22, 7 to 9 p.m., at the Harrisville Township Hall, 114 S. Poor Farm Rd. (located off of M-72, two miles west of
      Harrisville), and
     June 23, 7 to 9 p.m., at the Alpena Civic Center, 133 Johnson St., Alpena.
   Meetings will be attended by both local and Lansing wildlife officials. Details regarding the proposal and anticipated
   results will be provided and a question and answer period will follow.
 
  The proposal - which calls for a minimum of three antler points on at least one side for a buck to be legal - is on the
  Natural Resources Commission's agenda for action in July. DMU 487 includes the six counties of Presque Isle,
  Montmorency, Alpena, Oscoda, Alcona and Iosco, where bovine tuberculosis (TB) in the deer herd is most prevalent
  and of greatest concern.
